Zach Giles started Mountain Valley Electric in 2015 after seventeen years on the truck — a Rigby kid who saw Eastern Idaho needed an electrical contractor that picked up the phone, showed up on time, and stood behind the work. Today MVE runs 30+ technicians across Idaho Falls, Rigby, Rexburg, Blackfoot, and out to Jackson, Wyoming.

We’re family-owned, locally founded, and the brand on the side of the truck means something to us. Every install gets a 1-year warranty in writing, every estimate is free, and the same number you call today is the same one Zach answered fifteen years ago.

Do you offer free estimates?

Do you offer warranties?

We back every installation with a 1-year written workmanship warranty. If something we installed isn't right, we come back and make it right at no additional cost.

Do you provide emergency service?

Yes. Our office is open Mon-Fri 8 AM - 5 PM, and after-hours emergency callouts are available through the same number - (208) 228-5304. Same-day service is the norm for emergency calls received during business hours.

What service areas do you cover?

We serve a 250-mile radius from Idaho Falls - including Rigby, Rexburg, Blackfoot, Pocatello, St. Anthony, Driggs, Ashton, Jackson WY, West Yellowstone, and most of Northwest Wyoming. If you're not sure whether we cover your town, give us a call. We probably do.

How do you charge - by the hour, or by the job?

Both - depending on the work. Smaller troubleshooting and repair calls are typically hourly; larger installs (panel upgrades, generator install, EV charger, holiday lighting) are flat-rate. Every estimate breaks the cost down so you know exactly what you're paying for before we start.
